The Telegraph Journal is reporting on a poll done by Corporate Research Associates. He’s an article excerpt:
The poll by Corporate Research Associates shows 63 per cent of New Brunswickers believe Mr. McKenna would make the better prime minister, compared to 18 per cent of those who chose Mr. Lord.
Between Nov. 15 and Nov. 30, 404 people were asked the question “Which one of the following two people do you think would make a better Prime Minister of Canada? Frank McKenna or Bernard Lord?”
A poll of that size carries a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 per cent, 19 times out of 20.No matter how the respondents were categorized, Mr. McKenna was the clear winner.
Even among those who identified themselves as Conservatives, 54 per cent said Mr. McKenna would make a better prime minister compared to 33 per cent who picked Mr. Lord.
By region, Mr. McKenna’s approval rating ranged from 56 per cent in northern New Brunswick to 68 per cent in the Moncton area.
I don’t have much to add to that except that Lord’s approval rate in Moncton must be of concern to his politicos. He nearly swept this region last time.
