It’s the feedback, folks

I wanted to quickly thank all the people that expressed their appreciation of this blog – there must have been 30-40 people tell me they regularly read this.  I appreciate it.  I see the traffic to the site but as you know we have a limited but appreciated comment stream.  So this kind of affirmation makes it worth while.

Let’s be clear – most people like some of my concepts – I don’t think I have met anyone (not even my wife) that likes the whole buffet but at least we can agree this is an important subject matter and debate/discuss the various aspects.

It’s kind of a virtual townhall on economic development – but with most people just listening and not weighing in.

I always appreciate it when I get folks saying they read/appreciate the blog even though they don’t understand most of it.  I try to write for a wider audience but I can get tripped up in the lingo (value proposition, cluster, import substition, multipliers,  – even the word ‘investment’ is not particularly clear to a lot of folks).

Anyway, thanks again.  Let’s keep the conversation going.  Into this blog’s eight year (nearly 3,000 posts) it is starting to feel like an appendage.

  1. I just wanted to say thank you for the blog and congratulations on 8 years!!

I’m a regular reader, but a very infrequent commenter. I wish I could comment more, but I am always about a week or two behind in reading your posts. The small number of comments that you get may be due to the fact that people don’t duplicate comments here like they do elsewhere. I like to think it’s because we NBers are a better class of people.
